Environment determines the direction of regional development, regional development of future policy decisions. Zhaoqing High-tech Zone is located in western Guangdong Province, is located in Guangdong and Guangxi "throat" of the land and the Pearl River Delta and the Southwest "guiding the east to the west" junction in implementation of the national “Pan-Pearl River Delta” strategy and Guangdong coordinated regional development strategy in an extremely important position. So superior geographical environment but also to take on the high-tech zone of Zhaoqing Dongfeng national policies. Formerly known as the Overseas Chinese Farm Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, moved from the first half of 2002 listed garden, only eight years time, it ranks among the state-level high-tech zone, has experienced rapid development stage.Everything has two sides, Zhaoqing High-tech Zone achievements while also gradually revealed drawbacks, such as obvious characteristic industry, leading industry less competitive, innovative platform level is not high and so on. For its problems, this paper mainly uses literature research, comparative analysis and field research combining theoretical research at home and abroad on the basis of relevant, Zhaoqing High-tech Zone in-depth investigations and studies, through high-tech high-tech zone of Zhaoqing profound analysis of industry development status, problems, and other potential advantages, and has provided suggestions for the development of operational Zhaoqing High-tech zone high-tech industries. The main conclusions of this paper are the following three points:First, Zhaoqing High-tech Zone has experienced "a business" and "second pioneering" development process, and gradually formed a new metal materials, advanced equipment manufacturing, electronic information, biological medicine and other four leading industries, the initial formation of a number of innovative high-tech industry cluster. Meanwhile, Zhaoqing High-tech Zone in the development process there are many problems, mainly: industrial features not obvious, less competitive science and technology park of poor management, lack of human resources and other aspects.Second, Zhaoqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone has superior high-tech environment and policy support, ideas for its development: innovative enterprises to build a carrier base, innovation as the main direction of transformation base, enhance innovation capabilities, deepen the scientific and technological system reform, vigorously promote technological innovation and industrial transformation and upgrading, and effectively take the "science and technology, finance, industry, city," the normal development road of new integrated interaction.Third, this article Suggestions for Zhaoqing High-tech Zone high-tech industry development are: to accelerate the transformation of traditional industries, and actively improve the upstream and downstream industry chain, to cultivate large enterprise, the development of specialized high-tech industries; actively build support for innovation and entrepreneurship, improve business innovation service platform, improve the enterprise technological innovation system, to improve the ability to enhance scientific and technological innovation; deepening administrative reform, improve the system of service government, high-tech zone management system and efficient social investment mechanisms to build capacity closer integration of the city development mechanism; strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, the introduction of international creative talents, building an international cooperation platform, and actively participate in international cooperation, improve international competitiveness.
