As a new type of high-tech industry, the development level of aviation industry reflects a country’s industrial base and technological innovation ability. At present,China has invested a lot of resources to engage in innovative activities, and innovative effect evaluation is a very important link. Due to the aviation manufacturing industry involves multiple aspects, so the study on innovation efficiency of aviation manufacturing should also be more comprehensive. The paper divided aviation manufacturing innovation activities into technology innovation and management innovation. Technology innovation link mainly reflects the efficiency of technology research and development, the link of management innovation mainly reflects market efficiency. Study on influencing factors mainly analyzes how the external and internal factors affect the level of innovation efficiency, to determine the object that need to be improved, and to provide suggestions for aviation manufacturing development.Firstly, this paper reviews relevant theories of innovation efficiency, combes relevant literature about industrial innovation efficiency at home and abroad. With the method of data description, second part reflectes current Chinese aviation manufacturing innovation environment and problems. Using the DEA model, the third part calculates aviation manufacturing technology innovation and management innovation efficiency of 20 provinces and cities in China, analyzes the change form of innovation efficiency in all regions, and explores innovation path of different areas.The fourth part analyzes influence of different factors on innovation efficiency from external and internal, using Tobit model to quantitatively study the effect of various factors on aviation manufacturing innovation efficiency. Finally, combined with the research results, it provides some suggestions for the innovation and development of Chinese aviation manufacturing industry.The research results show that Chinese aviation manufacturing innovation resources to be further strengthened. Technology innovation efficiency value of mostareas fluctuate remarkably, technology research and development has not formed a sustained and stable capacity, management innovation capacity in a moderate level.Study on the influencing factors shows that worker quality and R & D capital investment can significantly improve innovation efficiency of aviation manufacturing,market environment are lagging positive influence, government support lag negative impact, enterprise scale effects on aviation manufacturing innovation appearing inverted "U" type, and industry performance is not significant.At present, Chinese aviation manufacturing requires to strengthen the resources investment for improving innovation ability, pay attention to the introduction of talent and scientific management mode, constructing a system that can create a good environment for aviation manufacturing innovation.
