Under the background of economic globalization, the market information is more and more transparent, the product category is getting more and more abundant, and the competition among enterprises is becoming fiercer and fiercer. Any enterprise who wants to develop continually or stand out well, they must continue to launch more and better new products according to the market demands. However, it is a very complex project process from a new product concept putting forward to the new product is eventually accepted by the market or customer, and the new product introduction which includes higher uncertain factors is the main content of this process.For new product introduction projects, in the case of when the project scope, cost and other factors are specified, it is particularly important to ensure the time of new product delivery and to seize the market with the fastest speed to maximize profits. However, the reality is that even if a project has a good plan, the project schedule can always get delay due to out of effective management and control. Therefore, it is extremely significant for an enterprise of: how to formulate and implement new product development and introduction procedures, to manage and control new product development and introduction processes, to improve new product introduction project management methods, to develop and introduce more and better new products, to ensure new products on schedule or be ahead of launching to market.Thus, this thesis puts forward to use the critical chain project management technique to improve a new product introduction model-- TTM process model, so that to form a new TTM process model, and use the improved model for new product introduction project schedule management.In the introduction part, this thesis expounds the background and significance of the subject, then reviews the models and theories relate to the subject, which includs: new product introduction, project schedule management, critical chain technique and TTM, and then summarizes the research topics, methods and technical route. The key points of this research are the critical chain technique, TTM model, and how they are combined for applicication. After the introduction, this thesis outlines each marco block of the TTM, and also analyzes their advantage and disadvantage, then introduces the status of TTM using in D company. After that the thesis summarizes the key method points of critical chain technique, then confirms the feasibility of using critical chain to improve the TTM, and creates a new model accordingly. Finally, the thesis chooses a NPI project of D company as an applicication case to practice this theory. By using the original TTM model and the new TTM model based on critical chain technique for planning and management in V project, and by comparing the result of using the two models, it proves that the TTM process model based on critical chain technique is valuable in new product introduction schedule management application.Research and application of this subject shows that the critical chain project management technique can be well applied to TTM process model, the improved TTM process model has a positive significance of reducing new product introduction project cycle time, and improving the effect of new product introduction project schedule management. Hope this thesis can bring some ideas for new product introduction project schedule management, and improve the success rate of new product lauching on time, and change the new product introduction project delay situation.
