Apprication And Research Of Critical Chain Project Management In Water Borne Project

This paper mainly introduces the basic idea of the method of critical chain project management. Initiate the project control for the entire project from the very beginning of project planning, integrated the limited resource with the inherent input to complete the entire project in the shortest time and with the lowest cost.The thesis introduces the way for applying the critical chain project management(CCPM) to the Waterborne Project, optimizing the project management process for the whole project. The paper firstly analyzing the existing problems and project management status in Axalta. Through refining the project WBS, developing the reasonable project schedule, setting the project buffer to shorten and control the project cycle time by application of the CCPM method. The paper also introduces the dynamic control method and the project control method which based on CCPM. Setting up the contingency cost in according to the project buffer, applying the cost control based on project control and CCPM to assure the success of the whole project. The application of CCPM method solves the problems for project execution, which meet the company's requirements and achieved a good result.
