Analysis Of Obstacles Of Guizhou Province Attracting FDI And Countermeasures Research

In the backgroud of economic globalization, Foreign Direct Investment plays a significant role in economy, and it also takes a great proportion in utilizing foreign investment in China.At prsent, Foreign Direct Investment turns its focus from the east and the middle to the west, promoting the latter with steady growth.Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, espeically the west development policy, Guizhou Province becomes a member of global economy. It tries hard to atract Foreign Direct Investment, but it does not work well. Guizhou is located in the weat, limeted by the envirnomet and underdeveloped infrastrcture,which set up diffiuculities in introdcing Foreign Direct Investment. Therefore, it is meaningful to analyze and solve those problems in attracing Foreign Direct Investment in Guizhou.In order to analyse fatcors that influenc Guizhou in attacting Foreign Direct Investment, this essay firstly will intrduce some basic theories on Foreign Direct Investment, the choice of locaton on Foreign Direct Investment, the eclectic theory of international production, and comparative advantage theory, and life cycle thoery about Foreign Direct Investment. As a result, this essay lists five factors in marketing,cost, risk, policy and concentration that have essential inluence in attacting Foreign Direct Investment in Guizhou. Based on five factors, this paper will analyze Guizhou's regional GDP, total retailing of social consuming goods, the average efficiency wages of the employed, business total of posts and telecommunications, the developement of the west and WTO policies, foreign trade dependence, the number of college graduates,fixed investments, the first two years accumulated actual foreigndirect investment. Meanwhile, this paper will use the data from 2000-2014 of Guizhou, and the modle of partial least-squares regression. As a result, this paper will list the obstacles of attacting Foreign Direct Investment in Guizhou and provide available suggestions, so to promote economic development with Foreign Direct Investment.
