Software development is a kind of strong creativity and innovation, the development of software products is largely dependent on the results of a high level of brain work. Job performance and work ability have a vital role in software development and software companies. Therefore, to establish effective performance management system forsoftware developers, which has important implications for software enterprises.The balanced scorecard based on the organization's strategic objectives, a performance management method for the comprehensive evaluation of workers from four dimensions:financial, customer, internal process, learning and growth.Company S is a high-tech enterprises that the core products is medical information software.At present, the market environment is good, the business development is successful, the internal performance management is also being implemented, but the effect is very little. This article mainly focus on the performance management method and the related theory of the balanced scorecard, research how to establish the performance management system for S software development staff, through the analysis of the strategic objectives of S company and software development personnel, design a software development personnel performance management system for S company, to provide some guidance for the implementation of S company.There are a lot of researches on the different methods of performance management both at home and abroad. This article first reviews the general theory and performance management of the balanced scorecard, then introduces the S company's current performance management model, analyzes the needs of S software development, analyzes the performance management of S company, and analyzes the target of the software development department. According to the goal of software development, the article analyzes the performance index of the software developers.For further understanding of the work of company S software developers and software developers, and performance management personnel opinion of performance management, the author deeply company S actual investigation, and after the actual interview, observation, work process interpretation and questionnaire, inductive analysis was carried out on the information obtained, summed up the S company software developers, the existing problems in performance management.Based on the balanced scorecard performance management system on software developers, according to the characteristic of the company S and software developers, through planning, implementation, evaluation, feedback, planning cycle, improve the ability of software developers, by raising the core competitiveness of company S.
