With the arrival of the globalization era, the logistics industry in our nation is also faced with new challenges and opportunities. In recent years, the logistics industry has become an important interest growth point. Although the logistics industry in our nation has had years' history of development, in comparison to the overseas advanced logistics industries, the proficiency of our nation's logistics industry still has room for improvement. There are substantial differences in the logistics costs, and our nation's logistics costs are much greater than those of the US,European nations and Japan; among them, the transportation costs account for a big proportion; this indicates that the key to the reduction of the logistics costs is the strengthening of the control intensity of the transportation costs. The reduction of the transportation costs not only elevates the revenues, it also increases the competitiveness of the logistics industry; in addition, it can also speed up the operational efficiency of the supply chains. Therefore, how to better conduct controls on the costs of logistics transportation is an important research orientation for the rapid development of our nation's logistics industry.First of all, this Paper elaborates on the research background and significance and it respectively introduces the current research progress of the theories of related to the costs of logistics transportation both at home and abroad, summarizes the contents,features and impact factors of the cost control of logistics transportation, as well as the compositions of the transportation costs. On such a basis, starting from the composition items of the costs of the logistics transportation, it explores the current status of M Company's transportation cost management and the problems it faces, as well as the causes for the generations of the irrational phenomena and clarifies the contents and goals in the Company's control of the transportation costs. It attempts to solve the practical problems by establishing the optimization models for the transportation networks and the physical models of the vehicles, and the applications of LINGO and the Flexsim simulation to solve and graph simulation methods. It proves the practicality and the validity of three kinds of solution schemes. Finally,based on the proposed scheme, this Paper stipulates some concrete safeguard mechanisms for dealing with M Company's control of transportation costs.
