Conflict Management Strategy And Preventative Measures Study On X Project

According to FAO data in 2012 the breeding cost in domestic broiler industry is highest in the world and the cost of living broiler production is the second higher as well.Some relevant data show in 2016 poultry supply will be short of 5.89 billion birds and in 2017 it will reach to 7.52 billion birds.The price of poultry will be 9.2 RMB per kilogram and 9.6RMB per kilogram in 2016 and 2017.therefore it is a good opportunity to develop large scale and intensive breeding farm in Chinese poultry industry.In the thesis the object of study is 50 million broilers project collaborative between B company and S company.The contract amount of the project is 2.7 billion and the project is called X project.Since the project implementation there are all sorts of conflicts occurred which bring about much difficulties and extra cost to the project progress.But B have taken some proper conflict management strategy to ensure both sides can handle the conflicts timely in a cooperative manner.as result the project end in time and production start as plan.The thesis author is the project manager of B to X project and went through all the process of handling the conflicts.Therefore it is necessary to review cause of all sorts of conflicts and stduy the adopted strategy.In order to manage conflicts for future project it is necessary to establish a conflict preventive measure to avoid conflict at most by reviewing the process from project biding till project implementation in mean of retrospective study.The thesis includes 6 chapters.In chapter one the background and significance of the study is made as well as the study method.In chapter two basic theory of conflict management are the introduced.In chapter three the cause study on conflicts is made for X project.In chapter four the study of conflict management strategy is made for X project.In chapter five the conflict preventive measure are established.In chapter six the conclusion are next study are reviewed.In the thesis the major innovation is to establish the conflict preventive measure on basis of frame of PMBOK which demonstrates that using PMBOK as reference to manage the project will play important role in preventing project conflict happens.
