With the rapid development of economy, as an important source of promoting competitive force and creating value, the role of research and development is more and more important, and the role of the R&D personnel in enterprise innovation is becoming more and more important. Based on the R&D department of the Y company as the research object, this paper uses the methods of questionnaire investigation and interview to analyze the present situation of the performance evaluation of the company R&D department, and uses the AHP and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, to construct the performance evaluation index systems for R&D personnel and R&D management personnel of the Y company and carry on the comprehensive performance evaluation.This paper studies the main contents are as follows:(1) The research object of this paper is the Y company R&D personnel. By the way of questionnaires and interviews, this paper expatiates on the general situation of R&D personnel and the current situation of performance evaluation, and analyzes the problems in the performance evaluation for the R&D personnel.(2) Combining the company's problems of the performance evaluation process, this paper determines the evaluation subject, the evaluation object and evaluation cycle, etc., and optimizes the existing performance evaluation process for the R&D personnel.(3) Using literature review and expert consultation methods, and combining with the general situation of the performance evaluation for the R&D personnel of Y company, this paper constructs the evaluation index systems for R&D personnel and R&D management performance and calculates the weight of each index using AHP.(4) Combined with the weight of each index, this paper does the performance evaluation for R&D personnel using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Applying the results of evaluation, this paper designs the feedback interview process of performance evaluation and achieves good results.
