Under the condition of the continuous global downturn in economy,the market has shrunk continually, thus intensifying competition between enterprises.The machinery industry, known as “the overall economic leading indicator”, is bearing the brunt of that, which has led to the slump in sales, causing an increase in pressure and difficulty for the enterprise.To stand out from such a fierce tide of competition, simple, economic and effective improvement at the site has been applied to find out the waste during the production process of the enterprise. Thus, with the elimination of waste and the application of low-cost and efficient methods, the enterprise can achieve the goal of topping the market.This article is based on the C enterprises forearm production site. Through the field investigation, the author found that the company had the good basis of site improvement.Now, the C companies has completed the K30(boom) site improvement, however, there are still many problems need to be solved. The main problem is that its fragmentation site improvement methods is messy and the process is mission-oriented, which leads to the poorly-sustained improvement. So, the article is based on the practical situation of the C arm enterprise production site, and uses fishbone diagram method to analysis this problems, such as the poorly-arranged tools, superfluous semi-manufactured goods, overtime working hours, constant defective products, security risks and delivery delay etc. After the analysis, the article proposes the introduction of lean production methods to the field method of site improvement to construct a suitable method of site improvement to guide C enterprises site improvements creatively, including 5S management, line balancing, Total Productive Maintenance(TPM), standardized operations, kanban management etc. Then the general principles of how to use the methods is illustrated.Finally, the above methods are used to solve the C business forearm production site. The results show that this method improves the system's production site environment and balances of the station's operating time, which is effective to reduce the waste and can get work efficiency improved.This article is based on a study in the real enterprise, broadening the scope of the on-site improvement method system. The site improvement has a strong practicality, so the research results is of great practical significance. The site improvement is highly practical and low-cost to the enterprise. The author hopes this article can give some reference to the enterprise of the similar type to implement sit improvement, tiding them over the difficulties to reach a win-win situation.
