After the cold war, the degree of economic globalization is more and more high, the contact and communication between different countries and areas become more closely, at the same time, the position of military which represent hard power in the international community has been declined, but the role of the soft power in international relations get corresponding increase. In this case, the development of soft power become the various countries’ internal affairs and diplomacy has become into an important component. Because of the unique set of cultural values and cultural industry technology innovation,and the characteristics of that has been greatly improved make the culture industry become the core of the advanced countries’competitiveness in the 21st century, "soft power" ascension plays an increasingly important role. Therefore, more and more countries will be on the agenda, to develop cultural industry which is trying to contribute boosting its "soft power". Then, the online game industry, has emerged to an sunrise industry of the 21st century era of global economic integration, and play an important role. Many countries take the online game industry as a platform for cultural soft power competition. Especially South Korea, though cultural industry started relatively late, in recent years a strong "Korean wave" has been become a worldwide pop.Not only created a legend in history, but also become the world’s IT superpower. Also become the world’s fifth largest cultural-industry country, greatly enhance cultural soft power. Online game industry,as a mainstay of South Korea’s culture industry, play a important role to achieve such results. South Korea experienced a financial crisis in 1997, but quickly adjust the national economic structure, and seize the opportunity to vigorously develop the field of the online game industry, make its become the backbone of cultural products export, the output value even successfully surpassed the auto industry. What’s more, online games,as the main force of the strong Korean wave which formed by the culture industry has rapidly occupied not only in Asia but also other part of the world.Once again, significantly improved the South Korea’s cultural soft power, and successfully shape the South Korea to a great international image in the international society.At present,academic in the perspective of online game industry combined with theory of soft power is rarely, therefore, this article expands the path for the further study of the cultural soft power. This paper expatiates the south Korean online game industry regulation in the role of cultural soft power and the experience during the government’s regulation, analysis the problem of our online game industry, then make it a new way to improve the cultural soft power of our own.
