Study On The Cost And Benefit Of Pig Raising In Shandong Province

Shandong province is a big province of pig-breeding, pig slaughter and pork production second only to Sichuan province, Hubei province and Hunan province, ranking fourth in the whole country. In 2014, the amount of pig slaughter to 4955.06 million, the output of pork reached 40.68 million tons, the province's pig slaughter and pork production accounted for the 6.74% and 7.17%. Pig farms in the province have promote the overall development of the pig industry. Although Shandong province is a big province of pig-breeding, but not a powerful province, level of standardization, modernization and industrialization are low,cyclical fluctuations are more obvious. Through the analysis of the data of the cost and benefit of pig raising in Shandong province during 2004-2014 and actual investigation of some farmers in two cities of Qingdao and Linyi, study the costs and benefits of the reality of the situation, basic characteristics, influencing factors and future trends of Shandong province.In defining the pig rearing in this article on the basis of cost and scale, of the national agricultural products cost-benefit information(2005-2015) statistics and the actual survey data of Qingdao,Linyi in 2015, first, the cost and benefit of pig breeding in Shandong province were analyzed with statistical data, and the comparison with the national level was made; then analyze the actual data of Qingdao and Linyi farm households in 2015. The study concluded that the cost and benefit of the pig breeding in Shandong province during the period of 2004-2014 is better than that of the peasant household; in the scale of raising, scale feeding efficiency was significantly better than that of small scale and large scale, and the comparison has obvious comparative advantage, the level was better than the other two kinds of scale. Typical investigation in Qingdao, Linyi two city also proved this point. Therefore,Shandong province pig breeding industry can encourage development in scale pig farms.In order to further promote the healthy development of pig industry in Shandong Province,reduce hog prices and price fluctuations negative impact on feed for pigs, and steadily improve the industry's economic benefits, Shandong Province should strengthen the construction of seed breeding system, improve the quality of pig and reproductive performance of sows; to support leading enterprises in the technological transformation and upgrading, expand processing capacity, improve product quality; establish monitoring and early warning system, strengthen information guidance, timely response to resolve the pig industry market risk; cultivation of new farmers to adapt to the development of modern animal husbandry; improve the statistical work, so that the pig industry gradually into a virtuous circle of track.
