With the development of industrialization, urbanization, marketization and social economy, the main current agricultural business entities have no longer meet the needs of the times, that's why the new agricultural business entities, the family farm, are so well received in recent years. Also its moderate scale of production and operation, high commodity rate, high profits, high labor productivity, and the guarantee of both social benefits and economic efficiency, are some important reasons to make the family farm be the pivotal form of organization to promote the development of agriculture.Anhui, as a major agricultural province, the study on the development strategy about family farm in the process of agricultural modernization has become one of the crucial topics. This paper, based on the investigation about the current development situation of family farms in Anhui province, do some Swot analysis at the same time. The research revealed that, Anhui is in a stage of rapid development of family farm due to the development of economy along with the increasing support efforts from national policy. Although all the advantages of the family farms including the expansion of farm number and size, the advances of social service, the improvements of business architecture and the growth of economy efficiency are more obvious, some unfavorable factors restrict the development of family farms in Anhui province, just like the backward agricultural infrastructure, the weakness of financial and insurance support and poor managers.At last, based on our study, we putting forward the corresponding policy suggestions and planning the strategic developmental goals of family farm in order to make it be better and perfect in Anhui province.
