Overseas EP contracting projects of China developed rapidly in recent years. Many projects adopted EP contracting mode due to various factors. The EP contracting mode is also the future trend of project management in our country. The study of EP contracting mode is important to enhance project management, improve management efficiency and profit margins, and it also has an important strategic position in economic development. In EP contracting projects, there are many uncontrollable risks, work interfaces, which cause higher risk. At present, China's EP contracting project risk management has not attracted sufficient attention, and the level of risk management is relatively low, which, to some certain extent, affected the smooth implementation of the project, therefore, hindered the future development of the EP contracting business. The present thesis adopts case study of ACRE'S processing problems in India KPO project engineering, procurement and construction phase, to analyze and discuss the topic of project risk management. This thesis first introduces the case of the relevant background, and focuses on the management problems in different phases of the project, the critical issues are the potential risk of the project in terms of cost, quality, and schedule. It also summarizes the five aspects of technology, market, economic, management and circumstance in terms of project risk management. Then, the thesis applies the relevant project risk management theory, especially in EPC projects, to analyze the success or failure of this case in risk identification, risk assessment and quantification, risk response and risk control process. Under the theoretical guidance, the thesis also discusses from the characteristic of engineering, procurement, construction and EP project itself on how to identify, assess, respond and control the risks in order to seek solutions to the problem of project risks. And finally, the thesis makes a systematic risk management solution for ACRE by defining the project management flow and building a projects risk management system for future development.I, as the writer, sincerely hope that the research results can be referred to in EP projects, particularly risk management practices of large-scale compositive projects.
