| SRI(Social Responsible Investment, SRI) is an investment idea or behavior, the core content of which is that making investment decisions, investment evaluation criteria will be extended to areas of corporate social responsibility more than the financial area. SRI requires companies to focus on the combination of short-term benefits and long-term benefits, playing an important role in promoting environmental protection, promoting the upgrading of corporate governance and protecting the interests of stakeholders, but also as a means of pressure on enterprises from investors to fulfill social responsibility. Based on the study of the extensive literature analysis and data, foreign and China’s SRI development were studied. In the international market and developing countries, especially in Europe and American countries, Socially Responsible Investing is widely used and the market of SRI has expanded rapidly, while SRI investment strategies such as screening, ESG integration, and the shareholder resolutions or actions have been widely used diversely and significantly, particularly ESG integration strategy gradually becomes a mainstream strategy. In China, SRI lately started, and there is a very large gap compared with developed countries. But in recent years, socially responsible funds and social responsibility index have been rapidly developed. Therefore, further research and policy development model of socially responsible investment, combined with the current status of the development of socially responsible investing in our country, the experiences of developed countries will do more in putting forward the development of socially responsible investing in our country, including: First, stakeholders should reach consensus, consolidate the social basis of the development of SRI, strengthen profound understanding of the importance of SRI as a means of pressure, and eliminate SRI suspicion and negativeness; Second, China’s legislative bodies and governments, institutional investors and financial institutions, businesses and corporations should carry out their duties, jointly promoting the development of SRI learning from the advanced experience of foreign countries, which will have a great significance in promoting the development of socially responsible investing... |
