| At present, China’s manufacturing industries are facing the issues of low value-added products, low energy consumption efficiency and weak innovation capability, and bottlenecks and problems faced by the traditional manufacturing industries many be more serious. Traditional manufacturing industries need transformation and upgrading urgently from weak technology innovation capability and low level of technology performance. High-tech industries with fast development and very strong penetration have a significant impact on the development of China’s traditional industries. High-tech industries can produce a greater degree of technology spillovers for the traditional manufacturing industries due to the big technological gap.Firstly, this paper has a theoretical analysis and mechanism research on the technology spillovers from high-tech industries to traditional manufacturing industries, including the process, forms and factors of technology spillovers. Then, the technology spillovers situation of China’s high-tech industry on the traditional manufacturing industries is analyzed and it compares the current development of high-tech and traditional manufacturing industries, and analyzes the effectiveness, problems and reasons of the high-tech industries to promote the development of traditional manufacturing industries. On the basis of theoretical research, through the establishment of the mathematical model and using panel data related high-tech industries and traditional manufacturing industries, having an empirical study of the technology spillovers effects of the high-tech industries to traditional manufacturing industries, and the main purpose is to obtain the role and contribution of high-tech industries to the technological progress of traditional manufacturing industries. The results showed that independent innovation capability of high-tech industries and traditional manufacturing industries are different largely; technological progress is the main reason of promoting the TFP of China’s traditional manufacturing industries; R&D and technological innovation and introduction of traditional manufacturing industries have a significant positive effect on its TFP; researcher number in high-tech industries have significant negative effects on the traditional manufacturing TFP, while R&D investment and new product flow have a significant positive effect on the technology spillovers. On this basis, the paper proposed some recommendations and policies to enhance technology spillovers from the perspectives of technical source, technology spillover intermediaries and receptors. |
