In 2014, Internet financial continued to maintain steady development. In early 2015,17 commercial banks proposed development strategy of Internet finance in their Annual report, and highlighted the opportunities and challenges brought by the Internet finance. Internet finance is essentially a Inclusive financial system, its advantage is to focus on "long-tail market" which can provide mass and standardized service, but it’s no advantage in the Individuation and high-end service, so the influence of the Internet finance concentrated in the retail business which focus on the personal clients and Small enterprises. Therefore, in the era of Internet banking, commercial bank making effective business development strategy according to the change of internal and external business environment will help them to obtain a new competitive advantage.This dissertation studies on Z bank who is the first bank transforming to the retail business, firstly, We analyze development overview of Internet finance and Retail business, By studying the impact of the Internet finance on retail business, we concluded that internet financial has made large negative influence to Bank’s retail business, which forcing Business bank attach great important to the strategic significance of internet finance and take action to exploring the model of internet finance. Secondly, we investigate the retail business current situation of Z bank in the background of Internet finance, and familiar with the internal and external environment of retail business by PEST method and SWOT method. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, we put forward suggestions for the future development of the retail business in the background of Internet finance.Through the research, we can get the following conclusions:Internet financial has a great impact on the retail business of Commercial Bank, and force them to paying attention to the strategic layout of internet financial; There are some problems in the development of the retail business of Z bank in the background of Internet finance, such as retail assets business is difficult to expand the scale, retail liability business has customer segmentation problem, retail intermediary business has customer experience. Therefore, We put forward the development suggestions of retail banking in the background of Internet financial:Paying attention to the platform construction, Underlining the data mining, valuing the customer experience, and Highlighting the products and services innovation.
