Research On The Reconstruction Of Credit Operation System Of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank

Setting up centralized and industrialized pattern of credit operation has been one of the trends in modern commercial banks worldwide. It is also necessary for Chinese banks to upgrade and optimize operation for promoting achievements a nd better controlling risks. This paper tries to analyze Shanghai Pudong Development Bank(SPDB for short), which the author works with, in the aspects of its credit operation and the bank’s internal and external settings, applying some theories and tools of operation management, using the methods of questionare, quantitative analysis and document research, and proceeds to discuss how SPDB should reform its credit operation system roundlyThis paper holds that systematic reconstruction of credit operation should evolve in four aspects: oraganization, planning, ordering and coordination,control. To be more concrete, six measures should be taken including optimizing the outfits, the mechanism of operation, information technology, online banking, culture- building and staff management, with the purpose of making organization outfits more useful, resources and procedures more integrated, IT network more advanced and applicable, banking service range widened,and controlling force strengthened.The author assumes that the conclusion and relevant study of this paper will help to boost the quality and efficiency of SPDB’s credit operation and moeover offer references and advices for other banks on industrialization of credit operation.
