The electromagnetic properties of bianisotropic media have been widely concerned by experts and scholars.The bianisotropic medium has very broad application prospects in the fields of microwave millimeter wave technology,stealth technology,materials science,and cell biology,etc.The interaction of electromagnetic waves with complex electromagnetic structures has generated an enormous research interest overthe years.Due to the need for special electromagnetic properties,artificial structures,such as bi-isotropic and bianisotropic,classified as materials exhibiting magneto-electric coupling are suggested.Bianisotropic media are studied for various applications such as waveguides,polarization transformers,absorbers and backward wave media electromagnetic properties which is exhibited by electromagnetic waves propagating in the bianisotropic medium has resulted in Scholars in the various field devoted themselves to the study of bianisotropic media.In this thesis,the scattering equations of bianisotropic media in an electromagnetic field are deduced.The influence of the medium parameters on the scatteringfield is discussed,and the medium parameters of the bianisotropic media are extracted.The bianisotropic medium possesses the permittivity,permeability,and chirality parameter in the form of a 3×3 matrix.Based on the Maxwell's equations,this paper analyzes the propagation of electromagnetic waves in a bianisotropic medium and derives two methods.The first method is to use a state transition matrix ? to solve the scattering coefficient of a uniaxial biaxially bianisotropic medium.The second method is the propagation matrix method,which can calculate the layered bianisotropic medium.Based on this condition,according to Maxwell's equations,a series of derivation of the propagation matrix of electromagnetic waves in a bianisotropic medium is performed.The propagation matrix method of bilayered bianisotropic media with relative permittivity,permeability,and chiral parameters in the form of 3×3 matrix was deduced.The scattering coefficient consists of co-and cross-polarized reflection and transmission coefficients.In this thesis,a bianisotropic slab containing a U-shaped metal patch is proposed,and the electromagnetic field theory of the bianisotropic slab is analyzed.The formula for solving the electromagnetic scattering equation and extracting the constitutive parameter tensor of the media is deduced.Using CST electromagneticsimulation software to model and simulate the U-shaped bianisotropic media,the scattering coefficient of the U-shaped bianisotropic medium is obtained,and the effectiveness of the method is proved.In this thesis,the influence of the length on the electromagnetic properties of the media is also studied,and the permittivity and the permeability of U-shaped bianisotropic media are extracted by the scattering coefficients.
