With the continuous deepening of research in the field of communication technology,the function of communication system is more and more intelligent,and its volume is smaller and smaller,and its integration is higher and higher.At the same time,higher frequency systems have been widely developed and used.The traditional microstrip planar waveguides are difficult to meet the requirements of the system in the high frequency field due to the poor transmission characteristics,and the metal waveguides with good transmission performance and high power capacity can not be accepted by modern communication systems because of their volume and low integration.In order to meet the needs of communication system guided waves,scholars are committed to developing new guided waves with the advantages of both microstrip and waveguide,which can be widely used in high frequency systems.This paper introduces a new plane guided wave structure developed around 2000.This structure is similar to the traditional waveguide in transmission characteristics,but it can be processed by PCB process.At the same time,it has been a hot topic in recent years to solve the difficulties in machining metal waveguides,unable to integrate and the serious radiation of microstrip lines and poor transmission performance.All kinds of passive devices based on substrate integrated waveguide are designed and put into operation.Firstly,the structural parameters of the substrate integrated waveguide are introduced,and the influence of the structural parameters on the transmission characteristics is analyzed from two aspects of theory and simulation.Based on the analysis results and the accuracy of machining,the structural parameters of substrate integrated waveguide centered on 84 G were determined.Because the substrate integrated waveguide is much more complex than the traditional waveguide structure,the HFSS simulation software based on the finite element method requires that the size is very fine when discretizing the structure.In order to simplify the simulation process of the substrate integrated waveguide,the equivalent dielectric waveguide method is used to reduce the computing time of the computer.This paper adopts the method of combining the equivalent circuit method with the electromagnetic simulation software AnsoftHFSS to extract parameters.This method is more simple and quick.According to the characteristic of the rectangular waveguide filled with the medium,the step of the gap parameter extraction is to determine the bias(inclination)and adjust the length of the slot to make the gap in the resonant state,read the bias(inclination),the length of the seam and the electrical conductivity(resistance),and draw the relation curve.After completing the reference,the Taylor synthesis method is used to integrate the face array to determine the current excitation amplitude of each gap element.According to the current excitation amplitude of each unit,the conductance value(resistance value)is calculated.According to the reference curve,the structure parameters of each slot are obtained by interpolation method,and the gap design on the whole array is completed.As the size of the whole array is large and the number of cracks is large,the whole array should be modeled and processed according to the principle of symmetry,and a reasonable design of the feed network is made according to the combination of array requirements.
