Bistatic or multistatic sythetic aperture radar(SAR)can be received at close distance and transmit from remote distance duo to its transmitter and receiver mounted on different platforms.Bistatic SAR has characteristics of its receiver's silence and anti-jam compared with monostatic SAR.So it plays an extremely important role in the fields of military investigation and other fields.Bistatic or multistatic SAR localization technology can get targets position information based on echo data and imaging process.It is an integral part of the application and understanding of SAR images.This paper focuses on problems of bistatic and multistatic SAR targets localization.And the range-Doppler(R-D)location model is established.Location error is analyzed.In this paper,stationary and slow moving targets localization methods are proposed.The main works and innovations of this paper are shown as follows:1)R-D location model based on bistatic SAR is built.And location error expression is derived via the utilization of gradient analysis.Using this expression,preestimation of bistatic SAR location accuracy can be reached.And this is the foundation of stationary and moving targets localization.2)The stationary targets localization methods based on bistatic SAR is proposed.And the location of all targets in a bistatic SAR image can be recursively calculated by using R-D location model and the nearby pixels location relationship.Further,the stationary targets localization method based on multistatic SAR is also proposed.And three-dimensional localization can be achieved based on entropy minimization principle.3)A slow moving targets localization method based on bistatic SAR is proposed.The equivalent radial velocity of slow moving target and solution of real coordinates problems can be solved via two-channels interference technique and differential evolution algorithm.And slow moving targets location based on bistatic SAR can be reached.Numerical simulations show the effectiveness of these proposed methods.And these proposed methods can be applied to locate stationary or slow moving targets based on bistatic or multistatic SAR.
