Modern radar technology has developed rapidly in recent years.As an important part of radar,the performance index of transmitter has been restricted greatly,not only in the basic emission index,such as microwave frequency band,output power,signal form,but also in frequency stability.As a microwave vacuum tube device.Because of the advantages of high output power,high efficiency,high stability and broadband band(high output power),klystron is often used as the first choice for high performance radar transmitter.In this paper,a C-band klystron transmitter with a peak power of 300 kW is designed and the technology of vacuum tube transmitter is introduced.The first chapter of this paper introduces the background of the research of the source of the subject,and expounds some application status at home and abroad.The second chapter introduces the working characteristic of the klystron,the index of the transmitter design,and then introduces the related situation of the transmitter system design.The third chapter introduces the design of the subsystem,solid state hard tube modulator,high voltage power supply,filament power supply and all kinds of auxiliary power supply,water cooling device and monitoring system.The design of solid state hard tube modulator is carried out in detail.In the fourth chapter,we test and experiment the transmitter according to the relevant technical indexes of the system.Through the analysis of experimental results,the transmitter design is verified.The fifth chapter discusses the deficiencies and the point of promotion in the development of transmitters.The main technical key point of this subject is the design of solid state hard tube modulator.With the development of high power semiconductor switching devices,especially in recent years,the development of relevant solid-state switching devices such as IGBT,its serial and parallel technology makes it possible to realize high power all-solid hard tube modulator.In this transmitter design,the scheme of fully solid hard tube modulator with IGBT series parallel Transformer coupling is presented.The modulator is made of six identical IGBT components in parallel by the voltage of the transformer rising to the cathode working voltage,thus it realizes electrical isolation,improves the safety and reliability of the equipment,and it can adapt to the requirements of relevant system indicators.
