It has been 9 years since the first danmaku video website was built in China.During this period,danmaku are becoming more and more popular,and then gradually known by people.Nowadays,we can always find danmaku in video sites,live APP,or even a common indoor teaching activity.As the origin of the danmaku video,AcFun and Bilibili has earned enough attention from communication scholars.An obvious explanation is that research related to danmaku video in 2014 showed a blowout growth.In 2012,Tudou created an anime-based danmaku video site Doupao with its own video resources;in 2014,Iqiyi also bring danmaku function into their own website,pointing out a new way of improving websites user experience for the mainstream video sites.This paper focuses on the danmaku function in mainstream video site.As we all know,the danmaku developed from the ACG video website in the beginning,but gradually expended into all kinds of video sites.Is this function still suitable for the mainstream video sites? What are the characteristics of mainstream video websites danmaku users? These question are still unknown.This paper is made to explain these questions.According to the survey results,this paper summarizes the demographic descriptions of mainstream video websites users,23~25 years old people take the largest percentage.Users satisfaction with mainstream video websites danmaku is in the medium level.Among the 155 users,these who use danmaku 3 years in length are obviously easier to satisfied with Iqiyi danmaku.User age have not showed its influence in danmaku satisfaction.
