To date,there are three main ways to realize wireless energy transmission: the strong magnetic coupling resonance,the microwave radiation and the induction coupling.The principles of these three implementations are different,so their transmission distance,working frequency,efficiency,and power capacity are different from each other.The strong magnetic coupling resonance and the induction coupling are mainly used in the moderate and short distance energy transmission,where the power is not high.On the other hand,the energy transmission through microwave radiation is mainly used for high power energy transmission system with long distance because of its unique strong focusing.Based on the microwave wireless energy transmission,this paper is devoted to research on S-band high efficiency power oscillator.Combined with the harmonic tuning technique and the characteristics of composite left/right handed transmission line,we designe and complete a high efficiency power oscillator with a compact structure at S band.Simulation shows that the drain efficiency of the oscillator at 2.45 GHz is 83.5%,and the output power is 8.7 W,which indicates its application prospect in related fields.The main work of this paper includes:(a)By studying the operation principle of microwave power amplifier and all kinds of harmonic control technology,an efficient power oscillator is designed;(b)Determining the specific parameters of the components of the oscillator feedback network based on the generalized substitution theorem,laying the foundation for the design of high efficiency microwave power oscillator;(c)Based on the characteristics of composite left/right hand materials,a resonator is designed,characterizing small size and low loss;(d)A prototype of a 2.45 GHz high efficiency microwave power oscillator is developed,and simulation and test results are given.
