Low Level Laser Therapy(LLLT)is more and more popular in China and abroad.Laser Acupuncture(LA)is a typical manifestation of LLLT.Both in the field of biomedicine and in the field of laser research,LA is an important research topic.The traditional Chinese medicine employing metal needle for acupuncture is an ancient practice with more than 3000 years of history in China,and also has been getting attention in China and abroad.Traditional acupuncture(TA)has been widely applied for therapy.Espcially combined with cupping therapy,the effect of TA is better.Compared with TA method,LA adopts laser stimulation replacing metal stimulus,and LA has the natural advantage of being noninvasive,no infection risk and being painless.LA equipment and related tools for monitoring develop along with the advanced electronic technology.In this paper,the integrated system of laser acupuncture therapy and monitoring is based on the detection method of near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS).The main indicators of monitoring are the blood oxygen parameters in the human body.The monitoring principle and algorithm are introduced in the research background,and the blood oxygen parameters are used as the standard in the equipment performance tests.This paper first established specific acupoints organization model based on the visual Chinese data sets,and then employed MCVM optical simulation software based on Monte Carlo simulation method to explore the light transmission in the human body acupuncture point.The result of light absorption distribution can verify that the depth which light reaches satisfies the needs of TA.And three factors that the wavelength,incident photon number(corresponding to the incident light power in real devices)and incident direction would affect the light transmission in the acupuncture point.The simulation results are helpful for the selection of components during the period of the equipment research.Then this paper introduced the instrument development of LA system from two aspects: hardware design and software.Hardware circuit function modules mainly included the power supply module,the control unit module,current driver module,data acquisition module,data storage module,LCD display module and sensor module.The software mainly included driver,parallel interface,serial interface,real-time system and graphical interface.Finally,the LA system kept a graphical display interface interface,human-computer interaction touch interface and probe module separated from the main control outside and the rest of the system was encapsulated together inside to ensure the safety of the equipment.The main two points of visualization are the transmission of light in the organization and the display of real-time data in the human-computer interface.Finally,this paper designed a series of performance test experiments to verify system stability,sensitivity and consistency of the response for LA device.The results showed that the integrated system of LA has great potential in the future for treatment of some diseases.
