Near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy technology was gotten more and more attention, due to its many advantages, such as fast analysis speed, high accuracy, easy operation, non-pollution, non-invasive and low cost. Near infrared non-invasive blood glucose detection technology was one of the main contents in bio-medical field at moment. In this paper, diabetes and research progress for near infrared non-invasive blood glucose detection technology in the world were outlined. Near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy technology and the principle of the near infrared non-invasive blood glucose detection were reviewed. Then, the Monte Carlo principle and application of light transportation in bio-tissues were introduced. Then, the skin tissue was used as measured object,900-1700 nm wave band as light source and chosen the suitable skin tissue optical parameter, based on the Monte Carlo simulation result, then, we designed diffuse reflection and transmission probes for non-invasive blood glucose detection system. At last, a near infrared non-invasive blood glucose detection system was designed, the experiment for simulation sample was done by this system and it found that there is a absorption peak at 900-1700nm, it is feasible for non-invasive blood glucose research by this system and it is useful for reaserch of non-invasive blood glucose detection technology.
