LTE-A(Long Term Evolution Advanced)as a new generation of communication standard,it is an important turning point in the development of the entire communications industry.LTE-A system research and implementation play an important role in the development of the communications industry.But with the rapid growth of data rate in wireless communication systems,the system with single-core DSP processing digital baseband date cannot meet the requirements of gradually increasing complexity and the real-time performance in practical,thus the application of parallel processing mode with multi-processors and the addition of coprocessor are becoming widely used.This thesis is based on the project " Research on Technologies of LTE Multi-UE base station load and capacity test”,aimed to enhance the overall performance of the system and reduce the complexity.We adopt the multi-core DSP chip TMS320C6670 to design and implement LTE-A digital baseband processing system.Therefore,this thesis first studies the key technologies of multi-core DSP,and then designs and validates its communication scheme.Finally,the multi-core digital baseband system is designed and implemented combining with coprocessors,and the self-starting is implemented.The main work and innovations are as follows:1.This thesis evaluates and analyzes the performance of multi-core DSP,makes full use of its multi-core architecture advantages,and deeply studies its multi-core communication scheme to develop a complete and efficient underlying communication mechanism,including inter-core communication strategy and inter-chip communication strategy.Finally in order to make the communication mechanism simple and effective to speed up the development of the project,the interface is encapsulated.2.In view of the demand of LTE-A baseband system,we adopt multi-core DSP6670 to replace the conventional single-core DSP in baseband system,and implement the baseband system framework research and design.The system framework mainly includes hardware baseband system and software framework.The software framework consists of the protocol stack modules and the physical layer module.The framework is mainly through the SYS/BIOS operating system and task state machine to achieve.3.After studying the framework and principles of fast fourier transform coprocessor(FFTC)and bit rate coprocessor(BCP)which is the coprocessor module of TMS320C6670 multi-core DSP specifically designed for the wireless communications,this thesis achieves the coprocessor function and analyzes its performance,as well as encapsulates the interface.The results show that the coprocessor processing speed is about 30 times of the realization of single-core DSP algorithm,and it effectively enhances the physical layer processing speed,and reduces the difficulty of development.4.Combining of the boot demand of C66 x multi-core DSP,SPI boot and EMAC boot of multi-core DSP are designed and implemented after in-depth study of the boot technology of C66 x multi-core DSP.The boot design contributes to the project product molding.
