This paper studied an ultra wideband dual polarized array antenna for RCS test system,which is based on the ultra wideband antenna technology.The system requires that the array antenna has the characteristics of low sidelobe and compact structure.This paper mainly completed the following work:1,Three frequency band Vivaldi antenna elements are designed,respectively,"1-2GHz antenna","2-6GHz antenna" and "6-18 GHz antenna".The choke grooves and leads to the structure in the whole frequency range reached the lower back lobe of antenna effect level,the back lobe level decreased to below-10 dB,in partial band to reduce the effect of the side lobe level.2,This paper carried out the binary array,antenna array layout and antenna cover angle of antenna of integrated optimization design,which integrated optimization of binary array solves the problem of 2-6GHz antenna sidelobe asymmetric;antenna array layout to solve the coupling effect between the mounting plate on the antenna of the boundary effect and the antenna,radome design at the same time pay attention to the physical characteristics and antenna through the wave characteristics.The installation scheme of antenna unit,antenna cover and antenna mounting plate are presented.3,Physical processing and completion of the antenna element and array test.The test results show that the performance of the antenna element and array are in the range of 20 to degrees,the VSWR is less than 2,the level of the back flap is better than-10 dB,and the gain of the band is more than 5dB,Indicators meet or exceed the engineering requirements of the vehicle RCS test system.
