The research in the manuscript belongs to the highly sensitive SPR project of graphene,which is granted by Tianjin international cooperation project.graphene is directly applied to the design of refractive index sensor by studying the preparation process of graphene and obtaining good performance.At the same time,the graphene-gold film production complex sensitive chip is applied to the SPR sensor,thereby improving the performance of the sensor,such as sensitivity,resolution and so on.Graphene is a two-dimensional material of hexagonal honeycomb lattice with unique electrical properties and optical properties.In this paper,the preparation of multi-layer graphene film in the large area is introduced.Under total internal reflection,the absorption characteristics for different polarized light are analyzed.It is found that there is a difference in the absorption of graphene between near-infrared and visible light.Besides,the degree of graphene,the level of reduction,the medium attached to graphene have effect on the optical absorption.Next,we study the special properties of graphene in the refractive index detection sensor applications.In this paper,a large area of Reduced Graphene Oxide?RGO?was prepared on the K9 glass by using non-toxic ascorbic acid as the green reducing agent.We research on the effect of the reaction conditions on the film quality to obtain the high reduction degree of graphene.RGO has a lattice structure similar to graphene.The excellent electrical properties and optical properties results in the special absorption of S-polarized light on total internal reflection in the visible to near infrared band.This special absorption effect is affected by the thickness of the RGO,the degree of reduction,and is sensitive to changes in the dielectric constant of the surrounding medium.Using the special light absorption characteristics of RGO,we can design a new high sensitivie refractive index sensor for biomolecule specific binding detection,biochemical reaction process monitoring,solution concentration detection.At the same time,the effect of graphene on the sensitivity of SPR sensor is analyzed by studying the performance of graphene-gold film composite structure.In order to optimize the performance of the refractive index sensor,the influence of RGO thickness and graphene reduction degree on the sensitivity of the sensor is studied.Finally,a high sensitivity refractive index sensor with a sensitivity of 3.1044?R/RIU and a resolution of 11.211×10-4 RIU is obtained.The reliability of the refractive index sensor is good with high reproducibility.In the study of the improvement of the sensitivity of the SPR sensor,the performance of the SPR sensor is optimized by controlling the graphene thickness.
