With the rise of the concept of intelligent home,intelligent city,Internet of Things(IOT)become a hot spot of concern.In this context,the application of equipment for the sensor node is more complex and handling capacity of the sensor nodes is put forward higher.With the technological progress,the computing ability of the sensor nodes has been improved.however,in view of its own limited size requirements and generally working as the energy-constrained devices,the working-life of the sensor nodes will be decreased.In addition,the sensor nodes also have limited ability of node communication,network dynamics and strong mobility and so on.These conditions urge us to make the application of communication protocols on the Internet of Things be as much adaptable as possible to these limited hardware environment and avoid unnecessary energy consumption.In this paper,we propose an Asymmetric Transport Protocol(ATP)based on the previous research in order to decrease energy consumption of resource-constrained node.In ATP,a communication node with high capability could take more communications tasks and computational tasks and a communication node with low capability takes as little communication tasks and computational tasks as possible,thus reducing the energy consumption and increasing the service life of resource-constrained nodes,which could achieve energy-saving requirements of the resource-constrained node.The main research on the existing protocol of Internet of Things compression and the main sources of energy consumption of sensor nodes are analyzed.We propose the main ideas of asymmetric design and main content and the algorithms of network transmission protocol.The theoretical content and design method of asymmetric transmission protocol are put forward and the protocol header and data packet transmission mode are discussed in detail.Then an ATP application framework is built,which can realize the connection and communication between sensor node and server node.Finally,ATP was tested for its function and performance.In this paper,the design and implementation scheme of data transmission protocol for Internet of Things is proposed,which is combined with the energy limitation and low calculation of wireless sensor.It can extend the work life of the wireless sensor.In the design of network communication protocol,this asymmetric way will be a new direction for the network protocol of internet of things.
