Holographic display is a true three-dimensional(3D)display technology,it uses the principle of interference record and diffraction reconstruction to present the true depth of object(phase and intensity information of an object).It is completely different from the stereoscopic display based on binocular parallax and volumetric 3D display formed of the visual persistence effect by the high speed rotation of the two-dimensional image.Holographic display technology is divided into static holographic display and dynamic holographic display.Static holographic display technology has been more mature,the products of the technology are widely used in medical,art,film,television and other fields.In this paper,we study the two dynamic holographic materials and compound two materials(silver nanoparticles doped nematic liquid crystal and carbon dots doped nematic liquid crystal).Choosing the two holographic materials as the sample to expore the holographic dynamic characteristics of them from the theoretical and experimental aspects.We discuss the imaging mechanism of the holographic materials and show the imaging results.The main contents of this paper are:Firstly,the dielectric tensor of silver nanoparticles doped nematic liquid crystal is deduced theoretically.According to the effective dielectric tensor,it is concluded that the silver nanoparticles doped nematic liquid crystals can enhance the photorefractive properties of liquid crystals.In this paper,the preparation process of silver nanoparticle doped nematic liquid crystal holographic display material and the method of making liquid crystal box is introduced in detail.Investigating the relationship between diffraction efficiency of holographic materials and the applied voltage,the angle between the recording beams,the recording beams intensity,the recording beams intensity ratio and the read-out beams.Applying a DC voltage to a holographic material sample,the space charge field is regulated by the electric field supplied by the DC voltage,then to realize the controllable refresh of holographic display.Secondly,the dynamic holographic display based on silver nanoparticles doped nematic liquid crystal material is achieved.Setting up the holographic dynamic display system by using the images as the light for three-dimensional image photoelectric reproduction which were loaded by spatial light modulator.The refresh rate of hologram can reach 0.2 second per frame,establish the foundation for quasi-real-time video refresh.Thirdly,the dynamic holographic display based on carbon dots doped nematic liquid crystal material is realized.Developed a new real time dynamic holographic material,investigated the holographic display mechanism of carbon dots doped nematic liquid crystals,exploration the influence of carbon dots on the formation of holographic grating under the applied electric field.The two wave coupling experiment was designed to test the influence of the recording light angle,the intensity of light,the intensity of light and the variation of polarization on the diffraction efficiency,the diffraction efficiency reaches 20%,and obtained a good result of holographic reconstruction.
