Study On How Young Professions Use Meme Based On Symbolic Interactionism

As the internet keeps popularizing,mobile terminals is driven to develop faster.Subsequently,the internet becomes a virtual world where crowds communicate closely with each other,especially among the new generations.With the diversified information explosion,people are eager to seek interaction in such virtual environment.To satisfy netizen's demands,meme emerges,which is a totally avant-garde verbal communication.Meme is imaginative,untrammeled and friendly-used,winning a place in online interaction.In internet era,shallow reading has characteristics of fragmentization and visualization.It is easy to observe that meme is same as the former.Thus,meme is on the on the front burner of interaction.From the micro perspective,this paper based on Mead and Herbert Blumer's represented by the symbolic interaction theory.The theory of symbolic interaction is mainly followed by the theory of scene.Using the method of observation and depth interview method,trying to package to interact through the use of the newbies expression for a detailed description of the process of exploring in the process of the interaction between the impact on the market the self construction.This paper is initiated by personal interest.Writer,as a meme fan,finds that when people around who habitually use meme starts their career,their meme style changes.Whenever they're asked about the reason,most of them will say "I get a job now." So how young professions use meme to communicate wither others in the new environment?On a micro level,by referring to theory of scenes,this paper takes symbolic interactionism proposed by Mead and Brummer as guidelines to meticulously describe the interactive process that young professions use meme via observation methods and in-depth interview.Finally,the paper finds how this process impacts on self-construction of new social roles.Chapter 1 introduces study background,purpose,significance and literature review,as well as approaches and framework design of research.Chapter 2 is going to define the meme and expound the meme's develop history.In the third chapter,this paper focuses on study cases.Object of study,YY and people around YY,are observed while accepting theinterview from the microscopic angle.At the same time,the authentic interaction process done by a young profession is observed.The forth chapter discusses further about how a small group of young profession use the meme in accordance with the analysis expressed in Chapter 3.The final part of paper is a summary.This paper finds that meme is used as a kind of symbol by young professions,which represents different meaning when life changes.Individuals decide to take appropriate actions in order to build and perfect the new identification to find them feet.There are two traits coming out of young professions using meme: privacy and concealing.Finally,this paper reviews shortcomings of study and give an outlook to further study.
