Recently,with the continuous improvement of living standards,people are increasingly p ursuing high quality of life.The viewing experience of multimedia is one aspect of it.The gra dual improvement of network facilities and the continuous advancement of hardware technolo gy make it possible to transmit and watch high-quality multimedia content.Under such circum stances,traditional streaming media transmission protocols and transmission methods cannot meet people's needs due to their own defects.The new-generation streaming media transmissi on protocol MPEG-DASH has emerged as the times require.Coupled with the fact that the dr aft has just been formed,there are few studies on the selection algorithm about the bit rate.So the study of this algorithm has become an important development direction of the DASH prot ocol.First of all,the paper has carried on the thorough discussion to the concrete content and th e technical characteristic of DASH agreement,and has carried on a series of innovation and th e improvement according to the limitations of the current code rate selection algorithm based on this agreement:(1)The Kalman filter prediction algorithm is used to solve the problem of i nsufficient bandwidth prediction accuracy in the bandwidth-based predictive code rate selecti on algorithm.At the same time,the limitations of the bandwidth-based predictive code rate se lection algorithm are also pointed out.(2)Propose the hybrid control code rate selection algori thm to improve a series of problems of smooth flow algorithm(SF)in improving user viewin g experience.Secondly,for the current situation that the streaming application based on the D ASH protocol is implemented in the Android platform,a streaming media transmission syste m with initial application value is established,and the mixed control code rate selection algori thm is applied thereto.Finally,experiments show that the performance of the proposed hybrid control algorithm is significantly better than that of the SF algorithm,and the streaming media transmission system built is in good condition and basically meets the design requirements.
