In the phase of gradually transition of traditional IPv4 network to IPv6 network,both IPv4 and IPv6 networks will exist in the current network.How to flexibly schedule IPv4/IPv6 traffic in an IPv6/IPv4 network plays important role on improving the overall network performance.Software Defined Network(SDN)technology provides a network environment that separates the data plane and the control plane in a network,and allows the control plane to formulate a unified forwarding strategy to control the data plane for data forwarding.Hence,SDN technology could well support the flexible deployment of IPv4/IPv6 transition technology.In this thesis,one traffic scheduling module considering the trasiton technolgoies is proposed,based on which the system is able to detect the type of network of user and service automatically,and the transition module will be deployed automatically and the path to transfer the traffic will be chosen.The work of this thesis consists of two parts.Firstly,an algorithm of scheduling traffic across different IP protocols in SDN environment is proposed.This algorithm transforms the influence of the transition technology on the traffic forwarding performance into the influence of the link weight.After that,the sum of the link weights on each path are calculated.Then the traffic is transmitted via the path that has the smallest sum of weight.Secondly,this paper designed and implemented a flexible deployment system of transition technology based on SDN,including controller module and switch module.According to the related traffic parameters and network environment parameters,the system can determine the forwarding path and transition technology used to forward traffic.Meanwhile,the system will deliver the flow table to the data plane through the control plane,and implement the corresponding transition technology in the data plane.The experimental results show that this system can improve the overall network performance effectively,and can implement many different transition technologies in data plane flexibly according to the specific traffic forwarding requirements.
