With the rapid development of Internet business,applications such as short video,online education,video conference and cloud storage emerge in endlessly.The current network can not meet the differentiated needs of different types of applications.And the current network architecture is lack of application awareness,operators can only multiply the expansion of network resources to improve the quality of data transmission,not only waste resources,but also can not make optimization for specific applications.Therefore,in order to meet the needs of different types of applications,this paper first explores a less expensive and more accurate software defined network(SDN)measurement scheme,and comprehensively considers the three link evaluation indicators of network delay,jitter and bandwidth,and uses the concept of application driven segment routing technology to provide a new solution to meet the differentiated needs of different applications,The application is assigned a transmission path that is more suitable for its own business needs.The main work of this paper is divided into the following two points:(1)The software defines the network delay,delay jitter and bandwidth measurement.Among them,the time delay measurement is completed by carrying the time stamp in the process of SDN link discovery;The jitter of network delay is obtained by calculating the standard deviation of the multiple delay measurement results;The bandwidth measurement is based on SDN South interface protocol,which calculates the link bandwidth by periodically obtaining the number of bytes sent by the device port and the opening time of the port.The method has the advantages of no need to deploy measurement tools in switch,no distribution table and no transmission of additional packets in the network.The experimental results show that the measurement method proposed in this paper is more accurate than Ping tool,and the cost is smaller than that of slam.(2)The transmission path optimization for different types of applications is realized.Different applications have different requirements for line quality.Therefore,according to different types of applications,different weights are set according to the different requirements for network link delay,delay jitter and bandwidth,and then the link cost is calculated by combining the three indexes of delay,delay jitter and bandwidth.Then,the shortest path is calculated by Dijkstra algorithm according to the cost of integrated link,and the segment routing technology is used to guide the data transmission path,and the transmission path is optimized for different types of applications.The experimental results show that the proposed strategy can select low delay and low jitter lines for voice and video applications,and select large bandwidth lines for data backup applications.Compared with the default routing algorithm of the controller,the optimized path can meet the business needs of different applications.The related methods have been applied to a software defined network intelligent security gateway project.
