With the development of network technology and the improvement of mobile communication,smart mobile devices are popular generally.Finally,the demand that more and more people want to access Internet anytime and anywhere leads to the rapid development of Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN)based on 802.11 protocol.However,due to the characteristics of multi-rate access,how to make users access suitable AP to form the optimal performance and make the fairness become the main research topics in this field.As the expanding of Internet and explosion of information,the way of people get information shift from information sharing to information distribution.The information-centric network architecture has replaced the host-centric network architecture,and the Information Centric Network(ICN)came into being.In order to alleviate backhaul load and improve the quality of experience(QoE),network caching becomes one of the key research direction of Information Centric Network.The Wireless Information Centric Network which combines WLAN with Information Centric Network can better meet people's requirements.This is also one of the directions that are being studied.In this paper,we research the impact of caching on AP association based on real scene.This paper analyzes the interact between caching and association in multi-rate access scenarios and propose the rate matrix.The content popularity matrix which considers both content property and user preference feature was proposed.We propose the caching strategy which combines global and local content popularity.In combination with the interaction of content placement with AP association,we formulate this relationship into an optimal question.We put forward a heuristic algorithm,wireless AP association algorithm based on network caching,to solve this question approximately.Finally,simulation results are presented to confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm from three aspects of network throughput,AP cache hit rate and AP load.
