With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, the demand for communication quality becomes higher and higher. As the communication signal is inevitably interfered by noise, channel coding can effectively improve the reliability of communication. As a result,a variety of techniques and applications emerge in the area of channel coding.Among them,Turbo code is widely used in many fields for its excellent performance. In the military communication environment, the communication signal is required to have a low probability of interception and high anti-interference ability.Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum has anti-interference,anti-interception and building-net capabilities, and is widely used in military communication system.First, the coding and decoding structure of Turbo code are analyzed, such as interleaver, component encoder and decoder, meanwhile, decoding algorithms of Turbo code are analyzed and compared by simulation.Then,Log-MAP decoding algorithm combined with CRC verification is designed, and the effectiveness of the algorithm in reducing the decoding delay is verified by simulation.Next,a frequency hopping system based on Joint Tactical Information Distribution System is proposed,in which Turbo code and RS code are simulated. The simulation results provide theoretical basis for the design of the channel coding scheme. Finally, the detail designs of frequency hopping communication system, especially the design and implementation of the link control layer, are introduced, and Turbo code is effectively applied into this frequency hopping system.
