Nowadays, the development of the Internet has gone beyond of its original designs.Named Data Networking(NDN),as an instance of Information-Centric Networking(ICN),adopts the routing strategy based on content names, multicast transmission, and universal dynamic cache mechanism.Compared with the traditional TCP/IP network architecture, the NDN eliminates the limitation of addressing based on the IP address and changes the situation that a large amount of repetitive content traffic occupies the network transmission bandwidth in the traditional TCP/IP network communication mode,so that improves the utilization of network resources, reduces the delay of content access and improves the distribution efficiency.Named Data Networking has many advantages over existing network architectures, but it still has problems and details that need to be explored further in user mobility support scheme.User mobility support issues can be categorized by content types into content consumer(content-receiving users)mobility support and content producer(content-providing users)mobility support. The original NDN comes with a mechanism to support content consumer' mobility naturally. When a consumer changes the access node it connecting to during a handover,it will resend Interests to reestablish the data transmission path.In non-delay-sensitive situations,it is acceptable. However,in some delay-sensitive scenario such as Internet telephony, video conferencing, online games and so on,the serious network delay caused by the mobility support mechanism in Named Data Networking and the additional load on the network will affect the user experience and the communication performance. In terms of content producer mobility, the native named data networking does not have the corresponding support mechanism. When the producer changes its access node while moving, the content consumers will not be able to obtain the target content from the content producer.Instead, consumer may requests a copy from some intermediates. However, the target content may not have a copy in the network,or the node that meets the requirement is very far away from the content consumer, which may make the content consumer unable to obtain the content or substantially reduce the content distribution efficiency. In order to solve above problems, aiming at the mobility of users(content consumers and content producers)and the handover of network access nodes, this paper designs the corresponding content caching mechanism and improved content forwarding scheme to optimize the performance of network nodes and ensure the efficient content distribution, the main contribution is as follows:(1)This paper proposes a mobility support mechanism for mobile content producers to deal with the service interruption caused by the content provider's handover of network access nodes while moving. The proposed mechanism makes every effort to ensure the simplicity of the Named Data Network and utilizes the content-driven mode to improve the structure of the transmission packet. It shows good performance under unstable and large-scale network environment.(2)Proposed a proactive multi-level cache mechanism for mobile content consumers, and designed neighbor node selection algorithm.Aiming at the problem of the increasing delay of content transmission caused by the movement of content consumers and handover of network access nodes, the proposed mechanism analyzes the mobile overhead involved in content consumers, enables the algorithm to select the optimal cache subset from routing nodes at different levels so that the delay overhead and the cache overhead are balanced.Experimental results show that the proposed mechanism outperforms other mechanisms in terms of content delivery delay and cache overhead, and optimizes support for caching performance and content consumer mobility.
