As a kind of typical content centric networking, NDN(Named Data Networking) has a promising application prospect in the future network. With its new system architecture and unique design ideas, NDN named the content itself directly, which could realize the efficient distribution of contents in the network. However, due to the great differences in architecture between the existing TCP/IP network and NDN, current mobility solutions are not appropriate for this new type of network directly. The main shortages of the existing solutions are as follows: first of all, the consumer’s moving will introduce additional communication delay and may lead to the data failure. Secondly, hierarchical naming structure makes the provider ’s moving bring huge update overhead to the network. Finally, the resolutions to data failure in pairwise path routing are in demand. Therefore, this dissertation is devoted to researching on the mobility support mechanisms in NDN.Based on the comprehensive analysis of working methods and communication flow in NDN, this dissertation divides the mobility subjects of NDN, three optimization schemes are proposed to deal with problems of consumer mobility, provider mobility and routing in N DN mobile environment respectively, which improves performance of mobility management. The main achievements of this dissertation are as follows:1.A topological potential-based mobility scheme for consumer in NDN(TPB NDN) is proposed. The scheme is designed for choosing the best data provider, and also takes the most advantage of the node information combined with caching strategy and topological potential notice to support the consumer mobility. Analysis and simulation shows that TPB NDN can improve the caching hit ratio and shorten the content request delay.2.A dynamic provider mobility scheme based on multi- mobile agent in NDN(MMA NDN) is proposed. The scheme is designed to support provider mobility, which optimizes the network performance by using multi- mobile agent collaboration to manage the mobile behavior of the provider, and caches the content reasonably based on the mobility characteristics of the provider. Analysis and simulation shows that MMA NDN can shorten the handover delay, reduce the handover cost and improve the delivery ratio in mobile communication3.A Probabilistic Routing Algorithm based on Interest Similarity in NDN(PRAIS NDN) is proposed. The algorithm can improve the efficiency of interest transmission by choosing the nodes with higher interest similarity in the process of interest delivery, and enhance the success rate of content request through choosing the forwarding nodes based on the information of nodes encounter probability in the process of data back, and then caching the data at the consumer to optimize the performance of network. The simulation results show that the algorithm can shorten the round trip delay, reduce the network handover ratio, and improve the delivery ratio and total data transferred in mobile communication, which contribute s to applying NDN to mobile environment.
