In recent years,with the rapid development of the micro-vision system,such as the deeply-strapdown guidance system and portable vision measuring instrument,the embedded image processing platform for target tracking is moving towards the era of high integration,miniaturization and full HD,which also makes people demand a higer level in its miniaturization and real-time requirements.At present,most of the miniaturization design is mainly by means of reducing the system components,integrating functions into a few chips.Although it is feasible,but generally at the cost of system performance,the feature of real-time and versatility has been greatly limited.In order to solve these problems,this study using a miniaturization design method based on structure optimization to design a small-scale embedded image processing platform based on DSP/FPGA dual-core for real-time target tracking.Give full play to their respective advantages of the two chips,effectively improve the processing power of complex algorithms,and enhance the system real-time performance.In this study,the key technical problems and the theoretical problems involved in miniaturization target tracking system are described in detail from the aspects of building hardware platform and writing software algorithms.In the aspect of hardware architecture,from the system miniaturization,this study describes the overall structure of the platform and the function of components.Then,the hardware architecture of the platform is described from three aspects,which are image preprocessing,object tracking,power supply and interface.In the aspect of software,the relevant theory foundation and realization method of fast pre-processing logic and target tracing program are described in detail according to the data flow direction,including the design method of image acquisition,preprocessing algorithm,image frame format conversion and auto iris lens and other modules on FPGA preprocessing platform;and the program development method of image capture display and concise target tracking algorithm based on DSP/BIOS real-time operating system on DSP target tracking platform.Finally,the functional test of the system is carried out,such as the output signal,auto iris lens and preprocessing algorithm of the FPGA platform from an experimental viewpoint;and validates the function,real-time performance and concise target tracking algorithm of the DSP platform from the aspect of the application realization.
