With the development of More-Electric Aircraft(MEA)concept and power electronics technology,the conventional centralized aircraft hydraulic actuation system evolves towards the distributed electric-powered actuation system.The trend is to replace the hydraulic actuator with Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator(EHA)that consists of electrical motor/pump and corresponding drivers.As a key component of EHA,high performance electrical motors and their control technologies have been widely studied at domestic and abroad.This thesis focuses on modeling,theoretical analysis and the controller development of the five-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor(PMSM).The main contents are as follows:Chapterl:Introduction.High performance electrical-motor,the power inverter used to drive the motor and their control technologies are the key elements to develop an EHA.The research status of inverter,PWM modulation and motor controlling strategies at domestic and abroad are surveyed in detail,and the research contents and arrangements are described.Chapter2:The five-phase PMSM model and the inverter model are established.In this chapter,the basic theory of PMSM and its mathematical model in the natural coordinates and synchronous rotating coordinates are established.And as the direct power supply system,single supply dual-inverter's mathematical model is also analysed and established.Chapter3:The five-phase PMSM pulse-width-modulation(PWM)strategies are analyzed.The factors,which affect the inverter,output voltage/current while applying PWM modulation strategies are considered:the common mode voltage,the switch losses,the voltage harmonics and the computation efforts.In this chapter,some commonly used strategies are investigated,such as the carrier-based PWM,Space Vector PWM(SVPWM).The multi-dimensional SVPWM is applied in this thesis because its advantages in eliminating the common-mode voltage.Chapter4:The hardware and software are designed for the five-phase PMSM controller.In this chapter,the controller design scheme which is based on STM32 and FPGA is introduced,where the core board,signal acquisition board,the command output are described.The software architecture is also detailed.Chapter5:PI controllers are widely used in the current control loop and speed control loop due to its simple structure and easy implementation.The five-phase PMSM proportional-integration(PI)controller is designed to follow the speed reference command.The models of the whole system are established in Matlab @Simulink,and they are numerically calculated to evaluate the performance of the proposed controller.Chapter6:Summary and prospect.The research progress and achievement are summarized and the prospects of the future work are pointed out.
