The Research Of CMOS Image Sensor Testing System Based On EMVA Standard 1288

CMOS image sensor has been applied to all aspects of people's social life.Its application can be found in the field of digital camera,mobile phone and intelligent security monitoring camera,which are close to people's life.And it also can be applied to the fields where need professional tech such as the field of space science.Its performance parameters determine the performance of the image system to a great extent.As domestic integrated chip production technology is relatively backward and the application requirement is so great,many national defense scientific researchers can only rely on imports to meet the demand of the CMOS image sensor chips.This requires the performance testing of CMOS image sensor chips before application to guarantee the overall system performance.This thesis aims to research on the testing method of CMOS image sensor according to a standard for characterization of image sensors and cameras:EMVA Standard 1288.The research includes the basic theories of performance parameters and the realization method of the testing system.First,this thesis reviewed the development of CMOS image sensor and its application in various fields to illustrate the significance of CMOS image sensor performance testing,especially in national defense and aerospace field.And then it analyzed the definitions and test methods of performance parameters according to EMVA Standard 1288.Second,it researched the main structure of CMOS image sensor performance testing system and the technologies to realize the hardware and software of the system.On this basis,it designed a set of parameter testing process which is applicable to different CMOS image sensor testing system.Finally,it designed a structure scheme of testing system and carried it out to test the parameters of some CMOS image sensor chips and get the results of testing using this system.The research in this thesis provides a universal testing method and testing system for the performance testing requirements of CMOS image sensor in various applications.
