Research On Self-correcting In The Evolution Of Network Public Opinion

With the development of network media technology,and the social contradictions becoming more and more prominent,many public events frequently occur public opinion reversal.The lack of rationality is exposed in the network of public opinion.Meanwhile,it indicates that the mechanism of self-correcting deviation in network public opinion field is becoming more mature.In the process of public opinion evolution,the network of public opinion field erected by micro-blog,WeChat and other social media,which is not only the main platform for Internet users to obtain and share information,express opinions as well as supervise,but also the important field for the netizen and media to link together and correct by themselves.Combining the typical public events in recent years,this paper tries to build the overall framework of self correction.First of all,"self-correction" is a concept which is closely related to the "self-purification".External environment,the development of media technology,as well as the discourse power of the Internet users,the demands of interest and psychological schema are the main causes of self correction.According to these three anglesthose included beginning cause,focusing form and emotional atmosphere,the "self-purification" can be divided into different types.And then,combining the evolution process of network public opinion,"self-correction" is divided into three parts,including forcing the truth by reasonable question,exposuring contradictory facts,and multi-player game.The "self-correction" will go to through five processes which are information confrontation,topic game,clash of opinions,field interaction and correct completion.It shows different characteristics in the process of"self correction",such as recurring truth and rumors,diffusing and deviating effects of topics,different topics set from different fields and so on.From the micro level,the positive roles of "self-correction" are embodied in correcting false information,changing the direction of extreme public opinion,and exposing inappropriate social behaviors.Meanwhile,"self correction" will purify ecological environment,restore social ethics,enhance Internet literacy and supervise network public opinion from the macro level.However,there are many problems for"self-correction",so this paper will put forward some suggestions on those problems.
