In recent years,IoT(Internet of things)is growing rapidly in the global market,which is regarded as the next information technology worth of trillions of dollar.The development of the IoT needs a kind of network control technology which can integrate different networks,support various access modes,and provide unified service.IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem)is able to provide multimedia and converges communications services.IMS,as the networking architecture in the middle layer,can provide seamless coverage and access independent services for IoT terminals.In this paper,we studied the heterogeneous access technology of IoT terminal based on IMS.Firstly,this paper introduced the origin,development,definition and characteristics of the Internet of things,and analyzed its architecture and components.Then we described IMS core network architecture,analyzed its system level and the function of some core units.On the basis of the review of the Internet of things and IMS,this paper introduces the integration of IMS and IoT,which provides a wide range of heterogeneous access for Io T terminals through IMS core network architecture and cloud computing technology.In this paper,we have studied the access problem of the Internet of things terminals in heterogeneous wireless networks,such as bandwidth allocation,resource management and radio access technology selection.This paper discussed the main factors related to such problems in detail,and cited the solutions proposed in related literatures.We researched and analysed a new network architecture,named as CCF(Connectivity Control Framework),which is used to realize heterogeneous access of IoT multi-mode terminals.We explained the main functions of CCF and its basic components and designed the procedures of initial attachment,session establishment according to its operation scenario.We also introduced the services provided by CCF for upper layers and the interaction between components.Simulation works was used to identify the functionality of CCF in terms of user transmission rate and time occupation ratio.Finally,we explored the application of IoT terminals in Intelligent Transport System(ITS)based on the author's engineering experience.The wide application of the IoT technology has become a topic of widespread concern,and more and more scholars are engaged in the research of heterogeneous access for IoT terminals.Researching the access methods for heterogeneous network terminal is of great significance to expand the Internet application range,improve the system performance and the overall utilization rate.
