With the rapid development of e-commerce,online order management system not only provides effective management, saving publicity, stores and other costs, but also gives customers the convenient, fast, and preferential ordering methods. The System improves the efficiency of the merchants and reduces the working cost Therefore, the design and implementation of the online order management system with safe, reliable and convenient properties have higher application value. This paper first gives the online order management system's project research background and research status at home and abroad, and then describes the paper's main research content and thesis chapters of the structure. The paper describes the specific development technologies and frameworks used by the system, such as JSP?HTML?Hibernate?Spring?design pattern and J2EE,etc.In the system demand analysis, the paper determines the functional requirements of system combined with business process content. The functional requirements include order management module, products information management module, classification management module, system management module, financial management module. It uses use case diagram to model for these functions. The non-functional requirements include security requirements and performance requirements.Based on the serious requirements analysis of the online order management system, the specific online order management system are designed and developed, which have the following functional modules, like the order management, the classification of the products information management, system management, financial management, etc.,with the J2EE platform and B/S architecture. The system has graphical user interface, business processing and database three layers system architecture, wherein the business processing layer performs the system's various functions. The data layer uses MySQL database for data storage.Among them, the order management module is responsible for managing user submitted orders.Products information management module focuses on the products information in the system so as to add, delete, change, and query it.The classification management module is mainly for classifying the orders. The system management module includes user management, log management and permissions management. The financial management module is responsible for the revenue and expenditure statistics. After that, each of the functional modules is first tested with the black box testing method. The test mainly aims at the requirements analysis phase to the five business function modules. Then the performance of the developed system is tested by automatic testing tool LoadRunner.Security testing, performance testing and stress testing are given. The test results show that the functions and performances of the developed system meet the demands. At present, the developed online restaurant reservation management system has entered the stage of practical operation, which is running in a good condition. The functions, data analysis and mining, will be added to the system so as to carry out a statistical analysis on the user's specific orders from the system. For example, various preferences from every age group customers can be mined and analyzed so that the better menus and promotional Information with higher attractiveness can recommend them to customers. As a result, the functions can make for each catering enterprise to seize the current opportunity of the information development,to create greater profits, and to improve the competitiveness of the catering enterprises.
