The antenna is one of the most important components of mobile stations,since antenna design has a significant effect on mobile station performance and the end user's experience.The industry therefore needs effective test methods to evaluate the mobile station's overall radiated end-to-end performance.Traditional receiver testing used cabled signals which bypass the antennas,but over the air(OTA)testing evaluates the device's overall radiated performance,including the influence of the antennas.With multiple input multiple output(MIMO)technology being adopted by the wireless communication standards LTE and UMTS,there is a need for the introduction of MIMO OTA performance requirements and test methods.MIMO OTA research has attracted so much interest from both industry and academia.Therefore,this thesis mainly focuses on how to develop the generic radio channel models simulation framework,and the major work and contributions of this thesis include.(1)Calibration and verification of MIMO OTA system.The MIMO OTA needs to ensure that the things to be measured in the Microwave anechoic chamber are in a real wireless communication environment.The system itself should not affect the transmission environment,so the system needs to be calibrated.In this paper,the calibration method of the multi probe MIMO OTA system is Conducted Uniformity Test and Radiated Uniformity Test(2)Development of validation solution of MIMO channel model.The standard SCME UMa channel model and the UMi channel model are verified to ensure that the wireless channel in the channel room conforms to the standard..The thesis presents following key parameters:PAS,PDP,Spatial Correlation and introduces the method of each parameter validation.All of them are characterizing the channel models.I have done a lot of verification testing to presents the result of the validation,gives the verification method,and the results are analyzed,which channel environment system model consistent with the real environment.(3)Throughput test of mobile terminal based on MIMO OTA system.After finishing calibration and validation of MIMO OTA system and validation of MIMO channel model,we can ensure that the MIMO OTA system itself does not affect the channel and the channel model is consistent with the real environment,then we can make the mobile terminal throughput test,determine the performance of the terminal antenna.Under the two configurations of TDD and FDD,the results are compared with the standard test results provided by 3GPP 37.977,and the results are obtained and analyzed.The calibration and verification solution of MIMO OTA system proposed in this thesis has a wide range,which has certain reference value for the verification of similar MPAC test system.Besides,the verification solution of MIMO channel model proposed in this thesis also provides the corresponding engineering reference for channel model validation research.The research of MIMO OTA system has reference significance to the standardization work of OTA test of Millimeter wave and Massive MIMO for 5G in the future.
