Optical wireless communication(OWC)technology applies optical ray as the carrier of information,which is a kind of wireless communication technology using the free space as the transmission medium.It not only inherits the advantages of quick deployment and flexible networking from the wireless communication,but also maintains a high potential bandwidth provided by optical communication.Hence,the researches about OWC are significant for the utilization of new spectrum resources and development of regional security communication technology.Based on the National Natural Science Foundation of China,this paper mainly focuses on the channel model analysis and the countermeasures to against the path loss and Inter-Symbol Interference(ISI),through theoretical researches and experimental verifications.(1)This paper proposes a path loss UV photon model by introducing the particle-wave duality to tranditional path loss model,which is verified by offline experiments.(2)In order to combat ISI,OWC Bayes estimation and detection scheme is firstly proposed,which can simultaneously estimate channel characteristics and detectinformative signals without pilot.In this view,we devise a particle filter(PF)-based algorithm,incorporating with the UV channel-related characteristics,to realize the framework in UV scenario.(3)To deal with the effects of path loss,this article we apply polar code as the channel coding scheme in OWC,particularly in UV communication we propose an UV channel-related polar coding scheme,and evaluate the performance of polar code through the numerical analysis and hardware experiment.In addition,this paper firstly proposes a recursive Bhattacharyya upper-bound for the general polar code,and based on this proposed upper-bound we provide a method to achieve the optimum code length that can achieve the required code performance with reduced computational complexity.
