The mobile Internet is one of the huge tide of social progress and development in recent years. In daily life, intelligent terminals are everywhere. People use intelligent terminal to access network,and connect to any corner of the world in seconds. The development of mobile Internet is inseparable from the progress of wireless communication technology, which is the highway of signal transmitting rapidly in space. In the family of wireless communication systems, WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and 4G (The 4th Generation mobile communication technology) are now the two systems who most closely linked with people's daily life. With the development of techniques, IEEE802.11 series standards which are used by WLAN system are constantly evoluted while the 5G standard is also coming up.By considering the new requirements of latest version of standards, the convolutional code and Polar code in the physical layer coding schemes for IEEE802.11 series standards and 5G are studied. The thesis puts forward two short code transmission schemes: a transmission scheme of shortened zero-returning convolutional code in power-saving mode of WLAN and a Polar code-based identification code hidden transmission scheme. The two proposed transmission schemes are working for some of the specific scenes in the wireless communication system: the former shortens the transmission information without sacrificing the error correction performance, improves the transmission efficiency and reduces the channel overhead; the latter digs and develops the function of the frozen bits sequence of Polar code which provides more possibilities for the 5G standard. Because these two schemes have limited in shortening the transmission information, it is more suitable for the transmission scene of short code. The thesis describes the two transmission schemes in detail, and simulates them.
