In today's military electronic equipment,Conventional horn antennas are commonly used on electronic reconnaissance and jamming systems installed on missile,aircraft,satellite and some vehicle platforms.However,with the miniaturization of modern integrated circuits and the development trend of airborne and spaceborne antenna platforms,the disadvantages of traditional metal wall horn antennas that are too large in size,too high in profile and hard to be integrated in the circuit limit the Horn antenna applications,can not meet the growing needs of electronic warfare.At the same time,with the extensive application of electronic warfare equipment,the battlefield electromagnetic environment is increasingly complicated,and the electromagnetic compatibility of the antenna is also increasingly prominent.In the small antenna platform and air carrier,by increasing the distance between the transceiver antenna and the installation of isolation devices and other methods do not have the feasibility.Therefore,there is an urgent need for a new type of antenna that can improve the antenna pattern characteristics,reduce the backscattering of the antenna,and reduce the coupling between the antennas.In this paper,the working principle of the low-profile horn antenna is analyzed firstly,and the surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs)and composite diffraction evanescent wave CDEW are described.Based on this,a low-profile horn antenna is designed and the influence of low dielectric constant dielectric layer on antenna resonant frequency is studied.The antenna was modeled using SolidWorks software and simulated using FEKO.At the same time according to the design and simulation optimization,the antenna was made in-kind,and the antenna was actually measured in the anechoic chamber of No.29 of China Electronics Technology Group.In this paper,we also study the electromagnetic compatibility design of low-profile horn antenna carrier platform.On the basis of analyzing the electromagnetic compatibility of the antenna,this paper proposes to use the S-parameter to evaluate the electromagnetic compatibility of the antenna,and puts forward the common measures to improve the isolation of the antenna.On this basis,the antenna isolation of the standard pyramid horn antenna,the low profile horn antenna and the low profile horn antenna with the dielectric layer is simulated,and the excellent electromagnetic compatibility characteristics of the low profile horn antenna with the dielectric layer are demonstrated.The design idea of the electromagnetic compatibility of the low-profile horn antenna is analyzed.For the small antenna carrier platform such as UAV and satellite,the frequency selective surface absorbing structure design is adopted.Based on the theoretical analysis,the frequency selective surface absorbing structure the S-parameters,demonstrate the correctness of EMC design.At the same time,the paper also points out the further optimization of the research contents,and prospects the research of low-profile horn antenna.
