The range of fixed radio monitoring stations is the key factor in the construction of the monitoring network.Pure theoretical calculations do not take the actual terrain into account,so the result is inaccurate.Field measurements are not only time-consuming,but are not feasible until the stations are completed. In this thesis,a monitoring station range simulation method is studied. In this thesis, based on the propagation loss calculation,a radio monitoring range simulation algorithm is designed.According to the multipoint distribution based on fixed angle and distance, this algorithm can estimate the range efficiently and accurately in different propagation models and different simulation models. On this basis,a monitoring station siting planning method is designed. The hexagonal honeycomb structure partition algorithm is used to generate the original layout at first, and then the genetic algorithm is used to optimize. In the end, this thesis has carried on the radio station monitoring range simulation and the station siting planning experiment. The experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and the simulation results are accurate. In the case of a given coverage area,a minimum siting coverage scheme can be generated, and a maximum coverage can be calculated under a given number of sites.
